Hanoi: Phu Tho province is stepping up efforts to connect with Belgian partners in high-tech agriculture, green growth, heritage tourism, and investment promotion as it seeks to tap new international opportunities following the merger of three provinces. During a visit to Belgium, a Phu Tho delegation led by Bui Van Quang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, held working sessions with the Vietnamese Embassy, the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals in Belgium and Luxembourg (ViLaB), and authorities of the Flanders region.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the delegation's visit aimed to explore potential areas for collaboration and enhance bilateral relations in various sectors. The focus was on leveraging Belgium's expertise and experience in high-tech agriculture and green growth to drive sustainable development in Phu Tho. The initiative also sought to boost heritage tourism by promoting the region's cultural assets and attracting investment from Belgian enterprises.

The meetings with the Flanders region authorities highlighted the potential for mutual benefits through shared knowledge and technology transfer. The Vietnamese Embassy and ViLaB provided valuable insights into the avenues for collaboration and emphasized the importance of fostering strong ties between Phu Tho and Belgian partners.
