PM Asks for Comprehensive Overhaul of Foreign Affairs

Hanoi: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has stressed the need to develop a comprehensive, modern, and professional diplomatic sector while chairing a working session with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in Hanoi. The meeting, held on May 11, aimed to review the recent performance of the ministry and discuss key, urgent, and strategic tasks for the time ahead.

According to Vietnam News Agency, PM Hung emphasized that the 14th National Party Congress identified the promotion of foreign affairs and international integration as a 'regular and key task'. This reflects a major shift in strategic thinking and demonstrates the Party's high regard for the role of diplomacy in the nation's development.

During the session, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of adapting to the rapidly changing global landscape and ensuring that the country's diplomatic efforts are aligned with its national interests. The call for an overhaul indicates a commitment to enhancing Vietnam's presence and influence on the international stage.
