PM Attends Memorial Service for Vietnamese Soldiers in Laos

Quang tri: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on May 23 attended a memorial service and burial ceremony for the remains of 28 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed their lives in Laos during wartime. The ceremony, held at the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery in the central province of Quang Tri, took place in a solemn, sacred and emotional atmosphere. It drew central and local officials, delegations from Laos' Savannakhet and Khammouane provinces, and local residents.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event was a significant occasion that highlighted the sacrifices made by Vietnamese citizens who fought alongside Laotian forces. The gathering at the cemetery underscored the deep ties and shared history between Vietnam and Laos, as officials from both countries participated in honoring the fallen soldiers and experts.

The presence of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung at the ceremony emphasized the importance of recognizing and remembering the contributions of those who lost their lives in conflict.
