Hanoi: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung hosted a reception in Hanoi on August 6 for outgoing Malaysian Ambassador Tan Yang Thai, expressing his expectations for Tan to continue contributing to bilateral ties in his future endeavors.

According to Vietnam News Agency, during the meeting, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung acknowledged the ambassador's efforts in strengthening the relationship between the two nations. He emphasized the importance of maintaining and enhancing the diplomatic and economic connections that have been fostered during Tan Yang Thai's tenure.

Ambassador Tan Yang Thai expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation he received from the Vietnamese government and its people. He reiterated his commitment to furthering the partnership between Malaysia and Vietnam even after the conclusion of his term as ambassador.
