Ho Chi Minh City: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected a number of transport infrastructure projects in the southern region on February 1, the fourth day of the lunar new year. The PM, who is also head of the State Steering Committee for key national transport projects, toured Long Thanh International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road No.3, and Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Vietnam News Agency, these inspections are part of the Prime Minister’s ongoing efforts to ensure the timely completion and quality of critical infrastructure developments that are expected to enhance connectivity and economic growth in the southern region. The projects are considered vital to addressing congestion and improving transport efficiency in one of the country’s most dynamic economic zones.
The Long Thanh International Airport is a significant undertaking aimed at alleviating the overload at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The new airport is expected to become a major aviation hub in Southeast Asia upon completion.
