HANOI: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the National Defence Academy to attend a ceremony commemorating the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of the All People’s Defence Festival. The events are significant milestones in Vietnam’s military history, acknowledging decades of defense contributions and national service.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit and ceremony took place on December 12. The Vietnam People’s Army was established on December 22, 1944, and has played a pivotal role in the country’s defense and development. The All People’s Defence Festival, commemorated since December 22, 1989, celebrates the military’s collaboration with civilians in safeguarding national security. Prime Minister Chinh’s participation underscores the ongoing commitment of the government to honor and support the armed forces.
