PM Outlines Three Key Cooperation Directions at Expanded AZEC Summit

Hanoi: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung proposed three key cooperation directions to address energy challenges and sustain supply chains while attending the expanded online summit of the Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) on energy security on April 15.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister highlighted the urgent need for collaborative efforts to tackle energy security issues. The summit, which was held online, brought together leaders and experts from various countries to discuss strategies for ensuring a stable and sustainable energy future.

The first cooperation direction proposed by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung focuses on enhancing technological innovation to improve energy efficiency. By harnessing advanced technologies, countries can reduce energy consumption and lower emissions, contributing to a more sustainable environment.

The second direction emphasizes strengthening regional supply chains to ensure a steady flow of energy resources. This involves enhancing infrastructure and fostering partnerships among countries to create a resilient network capable of withstanding disruptions.

Lastly, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of policy harmonization among AZEC member countries. By aligning regulations and standards, countries can facilitate smoother cooperation and more effective implementation of energy projects.

The expanded AZEC Summit served as a platform for member countries to exchange ideas and form actionable plans to address the pressing energy challenges faced by the region.
