PM Pushes for Overhaul as 2026 Marks Railway Sector’s Anniversary

Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the seventh meeting of the Steering Committee for key national railway projects in Hanoi on March 3. The meeting was held in person and virtually connected with cities and provinces where railway projects are underway.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for a comprehensive overhaul of the railway sector to align with the upcoming anniversary in 2026. The meeting focused on reviewing progress and identifying challenges in the current railway projects.

Participants discussed strategies to enhance efficiency and connectivity across the national railway network. The Prime Minister urged all stakeholders to expedite project implementations and ensure timely completion. The meeting also highlighted the importance of modernizing infrastructure to meet future demands.
