President’s Decisions Presented to Officers for UN Peacekeeping Missions

Hanoi: The Ministry of National Defence on August 20 held a ceremony in Hanoi to present the President's decisions assigning three military officers to serve in United Nations peacekeeping missions in South Sudan and the Abyei area. The ceremony was chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Deputy Minister of National Defence.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the assignment of these officers is part of Vietnam's ongoing commitment to international peacekeeping efforts. The selected officers will join the global mission to maintain stability and peace in regions experiencing conflict and unrest. This move underscores Vietnam's dedication to contributing to global peace and security through active participation in UN peacekeeping operations.
