Pu Luong Special-Use Forest to Boost Eco-Tourism in Thanh Hoa Province

Thanh hoa: Covering 17,662 hectares, including 13,320 hectares of strictly protected zones and 4,343 hectares of ecological restoration zones, the Pu Luong Nature Reserve Management Board is working to develop the lush forest into a prominent eco-tourism destination in Thanh Hoa Province.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the reserve’s management board is focusing on leveraging the forest’s ecological diversity to attract tourists interested in exploring natural landscapes and participating in sustainable tourism activities. The initiative aims to balance conservation efforts with economic benefits for local communities.

Efforts are underway to improve infrastructure and create visitor-friendly facilities while ensuring that the ecological integrity of the forest remains intact. The project aligns with broader regional strategies to promote eco-tourism as a means of economic development while preserving natural resources.

The development of Pu Luong as an eco-tourism site is expected to draw attention from both domestic and international tourists, contributing to the socio-economic growth of Thanh Hoa Province.
