Quang ngai: The coastal area in Van Tuong and Dong Son communes, Quang Ngai province, is recognized for its seaweed ecosystem, which serves as a green lung of the ocean and offers protective benefits for the coastal ecosystem. Recently, the local government has taken significant steps to safeguard this vital natural resource. According to Vietnam News Agency, a community group comprising 100 members has been established to protect aquatic resources and seaweed and to develop community tourism. The group operates on a voluntary basis, where all members are tasked with patrolling and supervising designated areas, ensuring the protection of seaweed resources and the coastal ecosystems.
