Quang tri: A ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Cuban leader Fidel Castro (August 13, 1926-2026) was held at Fidel Castro Park in the central province of Quang Tri on August 13. The event was jointly organised by the provincial People's Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the ceremony was a significant occasion to honor the legacy of Fidel Castro and the longstanding relationship between Vietnam and Cuba.
