Senior Officials’ Meeting Highlights Economic Resilience, Stronger CPTPP-EU Linkages

Hanoi: The Canada-Vietnam Forum on Economic Resilience and CPTPP-EU Linkages commenced in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of July 20. This event is taking place alongside the third Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM3) of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) this year. Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, this forum is part of a series of events under Vietnam's CPTPP Chairmanship Year 2026 and will continue until July 24.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the forum aims to strengthen economic resilience and enhance linkages between the CPTPP and the European Union. It serves as a platform for senior officials and stakeholders to discuss strategies and collaborative efforts in fostering economic ties and resilience in the region. The participants are expected to explore opportunities for deeper integration and cooperation between the CPTPP member countries and the EU, focusing on sustainable growth and development.
