Senior Party Official Bids Farewell to Top Lao Leader

Hanoi: Politburo member and standing member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu presided over the farewell ceremony on January 27 afternoon for Lao Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith, his spouse, and the high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State, as they prepared to depart Hanoi, successfully concluding their two-day state visit to Vietnam. On behalf of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and General Secretary To Lam, Tran Cam Tu respectfully thanked Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith, his spouse, and the Lao high-ranking delegation for paying a state visit to Vietnam.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit was seen as a significant step in strengthening the relationship between the two neighboring countries.
