Hanoi: State President Luong Cuong and King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck witnessed the signing and exchange of cooperation documents of the two countries right after their talks in Hanoi on August 19 morning. King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck of Bhutan are on a state visit to Vietnam from August 18 to 22.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the documents signed aim to strengthen bilateral relations between Vietnam and Bhutan. The state visit by the Bhutanese King and Queen underscores the growing diplomatic ties and mutual interests shared by the two nations. The visit and the subsequent signing ceremony are expected to enhance cooperation in various sectors, fostering a closer partnership between the two countries.
