Hanoi: State President Luong Cuong, his spouse, representatives from central ministries, and Hanoi city joined over 100 overseas Vietnamese in a traditional carp release ritual at Ngoc Son temple. This event took place on February 8, marking the 21st day of the last lunar month.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the carp release is part of the Land Genie and Kitchen Gods worshipping ritual, traditionally observed on the 23rd day of the last lunar month. This year, the ritual will be on February 10, coinciding with the start of the Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival, a significant traditional holiday in Vietnam.
