Hanoi: State President Luong Cuong visited his predecessors Nguyen Minh Triet and Truong Tan Sang on January 14, ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) and the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – 2025). Cuong enquired after the two former Presidents and expressed his hope that they will continue utilising their wisdom and experience to contribute more to national development.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit was part of a series of meetings conducted by the State President to honor and seek counsel from past leaders in preparation for upcoming national celebrations. The gesture underscores the importance of unity and continuity in leadership as Vietnam approaches significant historical milestones.
