Hanoi: State President Luong Cuong welcomed United Nations Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres and heads of delegations attending the signing ceremony and high-level conference of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (the Hanoi Convention) in Hanoi from October 25-26, 2025.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event marks a significant step in international efforts to combat the growing threat of cybercrime. The Hanoi Convention aims to establish a comprehensive framework for cooperation among nations to address issues related to cybercrime, enhance information sharing, and improve cybersecurity measures worldwide.

The conference gathered leaders and representatives from various countries, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in tackling cyber threats. The convention is expected to facilitate stronger ties between member states and promote the development of effective strategies to counter cybercrime on a global scale.
