Strong Legal Framework Needed for Hanoi’s Development, Innovation: Party Chief

Hanoi: Current amendments to the Capital Law should adopt an innovative and long-term approach, providing a strong legal framework for Hanoi to fully leverage its unique potential, pilot new models, and try new approaches, while ensuring discipline, transparency, and the public interest, Party General Secretary To Lam has stated. The Party chief made the requirement at a working session with the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee on January 10 to discuss a proposal for a master plan with a 100-year vision for the capital city, institutional reforms, a projected socio-economic development model, and double-digit growth target.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussion emphasized the importance of creating a robust legal foundation that would enable Hanoi to explore innovative solutions and implement pilot programs. The amendments are expected to support the city's socio-economic objectives, with a focus on sustainable growth and public welfare.

The proposed master plan is set to guide Hanoi's future development, offering a strategic vision that spans a century.
