Berlin: Leaders of German political parties have expressed strong interest in and admiration for Vietnam's development achievements and the upcoming 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), during meetings with Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Dac Thanh. Thanh on January 9 met with Patrik K¶bele, Chairman of the German Communist Party (DKP); and Wulf Gallert, Co-chair of the International Commission of left party Die Linke. The discussions focused on the political, economic and social situations in both countries, as well as international issues of mutual concern.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meetings underscored a mutual interest in fostering stronger ties between Germany and Vietnam. K¶bele and Gallert praised Vietnam's progress and expressed a desire to learn from its experiences. They also showed interest in the themes and outcomes expected from the forthcoming CPV National Congress. Both parties exchanged views on how to address various global challenges and highlighted the importance of international cooperation.
The dialogue further emphasized the significance of bilateral relations and the potential for future collaboration. Both sides acknowledged the need to deepen their understanding and cooperation on global issues, particularly those affecting political and economic stability.
