Hanoi: Forest rangers in the southern province of Tay Ninh announced on June 29 that they had coordinated with local authorities to release a rescued Sunda (Manis Javanica) pangolin back to its natural habitat at Lo Go - Xa Mat National Park. The animal was initially discovered on June 6 by a local resident in his family's farmland in Duong Minh Chau commune.

According to Vietnam News Agency, recognizing the pangolin as a protected wild species, the resident voluntarily informed authorities and handed the animal over for rescue. The cooperation between the local community and authorities highlights efforts in wildlife conservation and the protection of endangered species.
