Hanoi: Authorities in the north central province of Thanh Hoa are intensifying efforts to identify the remains of fallen soldiers. Each DNA sample collected marks a vital step towards restoring the names and identities of those who sacrificed for the nation, helping to heal the historical pain endured by many families and the community. The province currently houses 3,567 unidentified martyrs' graves, with 612 graves holding incomplete information and 2,955 graves with no information at all.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the provincial Military Command is actively participating in a 500-day campaign aimed at recovering and identifying the remains of these soldiers through DNA testing. Efforts are underway to collect samples from remains at local martyrs' cemeteries. This initiative reflects a broader commitment to honoring the memory of those who served and providing closure to their families.
