The Prime Minister followed up on the project to establish a medical center of excellence.

Nakhon Ratchasima, The Prime Minister followed up on the progress of the project to establish a medical excellence center at Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital to improve the quality of services. Mr. Settha Thavisin, Prime Minister, and his team followed up on the progress of the project to build an 18-storey Medical Excellence Center at Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, with Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Minister of Public Health, Dr. Prawin Tandaprapa, Director of Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, doctors, nurses, officers, and village health volunteers welcoming them. The Prime Minister listened to a briefing from the Minister of Public Health that Nakhon Ratchasima Province is an important province in the Northeast and is the gateway to the Northeast. Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital is the only regional hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. It is the main hospital of Health Region 9, consisting of 4 provinces: Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Buriram and Surin. It is also an institute for producing doc tors and a training center for medical personnel and public health personnel of all professions. Therefore, in order to raise public health services to cover all areas, create fairness in access to services, and reduce the disparity in public health services between urban and rural communities, urgent and continuous development is required for the quality and safety of public health services, which are important for people's lives. The Prime Minister and the Cabinet's field visits and monitoring of public health progress are therefore important to drive public health policies to create cooperation and integration among central and regional health agencies to maximize the benefits of the country's health service system. Dr. Prawin Tantraprapa, Director of Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, presented the development plan of Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, stating that the 18-storey Medical Excellence Center Building consists of Trauma and Emergency Center, ICU and Organ Transplant Center, Surgery Departme nt, Endoscopy Center, ODS, MIS and Comprehensive Health Center (CHECK UP CENTER) under the construction budget including equipment of 4,427 million baht and the construction project of the 18-storey doctor and nurse dormitory building with 352 rooms, budget of 437 million baht, totaling 4,864 million baht. Then, the Prime Minister and the Cabinet walked to view the construction area of ??the doctor and nurses' residence building from a high angle and visited the medical exhibition board display, which included: Exhibition of the 30 baht project, universal healthcare with just one ID card (Phase 3) Nakhon Chaiburin Diabetes School under the policy of driving the work of prevention and control of non-chronic infectious diseases by changing health behaviors, new paradigm Diabetes Remission or diabetes in remission under the curriculum of "Diabetes School" Drug Project Exhibition 'Driving Drug Addicts Treatment and Rehabilitation under the CBTx IMC and LTC Framework' The Thai Traditional Medicine Exhibition presents herbs with medicinal properties and are herbs that are the identity of the province, such as Brahmi, the identity herb of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Kaeming, the identity herb of Buriram Province, and Rew, the identity herb of Chaiyaphum Province. The Prime Minister said that following the previous visit to Nakhon Ratchasima Province, the hospital had requested approval to purchase medical equipment, for which he had approved a budget of 6 million baht. But above all else, these matters were just necessary items that needed to be managed. In the short term, he considered that today's visit, under the leadership of the Minister of Public Health and local MPs, presented the hardships of our fellow citizens in terms of public health, which is an important factor that makes us, the citizens, happy and able to grow alongside the country's economic growth. The Prime Minister said that Nakhon Ratchasima is considered one of the largest provinces in Thailand. It has had a long history of economic developm ent, since the time of General Chatichai Choonhavan until the present. Mr. Prasert Chantarawongthong has taken care of the area and brought prosperity to Nakhon Ratchasima. The government will implement many policies, both as a business center, taking care of both cultural tourism, and above all else, the government has implemented various policies to maximize the benefits of the people and having a good hospital to improve in every dimension, whether it is specialized medicine, buildings to accommodate more patients, and to support the expansion of the country and respond to the Ignite Thailand policy. In addition to our investment in buildings and medical equipment, I would like to ask the ministers to take care of personnel, compensation, and medical equipment for doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and sports scientists. These are important matters. We must expand this area along with building a larger hospital to be suitable for being a medical center. This is a matter of pleasure and I would like to t hank all sectors involved today. 'The government has a policy to increase the capacity of public health services, with great importance given to providing services to the people. In addition to the dimension of providing public health services to the people, the government is also ready to improve the quality of hospital services. Both in increasing the number of medical personnel, general practitioners and specialists, including specialized medical equipment and medical supplies to be ready and sufficient to meet the demand. Improving and constructing buildings to have sufficient potential will increase the ability to support patients and service recipients, and will also facilitate and enhance the efficiency of providing public health services to all citizens,' the Prime Minister stated.
