Hanoi: The theoretical work for the 2026-2031 period must be more proactive and incisive, moving beyond explaining events after the fact to anticipating emerging challenges, addressing key bottlenecks, and new contradictions in development, said Party General Secretary and State President To Lam while chairing a working session with the Central Theory Council for the 2026-2031 term in Hanoi on June 9.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Party General Secretary emphasized the need for theoretical work to provide timely and effective input for Party policymaking. The approach should focus on anticipating challenges and addressing critical issues to support the development objectives set for the upcoming period. The Central Theory Council is expected to play a crucial role in this process by delivering insights that are not only reactive but also proactive in nature.
