Hanoi: National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Hong Dien received in Hanoi on June 9 a delegation from the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), led by its Chief Executive Officer Ben Backwell, to discuss cooperation in advancing renewable energy development and supporting Vietnam's green energy transition.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on exploring potential investment opportunities in Vietnam's renewable energy sector, with particular emphasis on wind energy. The discussions underscored the importance of enhancing collaboration between Vietnam and international partners to facilitate the country's transition towards sustainable energy sources.
The delegation from GWEC expressed interest in supporting Vietnam's efforts to increase its renewable energy capacity. The talks highlighted the mutual benefits of such cooperation, including economic growth and environmental sustainability.
