Hanoi:More than 3,000 people participated in the 51st Hanoimoi Newspaper Run for Peace held in the Hoan Kiem Lake area on the morning of September 27.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event is one of the oldest tournaments in the city, having started in 1974. It has grown into a familiar gathering for both local residents and runners from various cities and provinces across the nation.

This year's run was organized to commemorate two significant milestones the 72nd anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi and the 27th anniversary of the city's recognition as a City for Peace by UNESCO.
