Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam and his spouse hosted a welcome ceremony for President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing and his spouse in Hanoi on September 5. The Myanmar President and his spouse are on a three-day official visit to Vietnam.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Vietnam and Myanmar. The official engagements are expected to cover discussions on economic cooperation, trade, and regional security issues.
