Hanoi: Party General Secretary and State President To Lam met with Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae in Hanoi on May 2. The Japanese PM is on an official visit to Vietnam from May 1-3.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting signifies a strengthening of bilateral relations between Vietnam and Japan.
