Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam received Assistant to the President and Chairman of the Maritime Board of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev in Moscow on September 8 (local time), as part of his state visit to the country.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting between the Vietnamese leader and Nikolai Patrushev was part of an ongoing effort to strengthen bilateral relations between Vietnam and Russia.
