Hanoi: The National Assembly (NA)'s Council for Ethnic Affairs held a ceremony in Hanoi to mark the 65th anniversary of its establishment, commemorating its foundation on April 20, 1961. The event, which took place on May 28, celebrated the council's significant role in advising on ethnic policies over the decades and was highlighted by the presentation of the first-class labour order.
According to Vietnam News Agency, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man awarded the first-class labour order to the council, acknowledging its notable contributions to the formulation, issuance, and supervision of ethnic policies. The honor serves as recognition of the council's enduring efforts to integrate ethnic policies into legislation effectively.
