Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam attended a ceremony in Canberra on August 11 to inaugurate Vietnam House and meet with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Australia and Solomon Islands, as part of his State visit to Australia.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the inauguration of Vietnam House marks a significant milestone in strengthening the diplomatic and cultural ties between Vietnam and Australia. The event provided an opportunity for the Vietnamese leader to engage with the community, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong connections with the Vietnamese diaspora in Australia and the Solomon Islands.

The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including members of the Vietnamese community, Australian officials, and representatives from the Solomon Islands. During the event, President To Lam expressed his gratitude for the support and contributions of the overseas Vietnamese, highlighting their role in fostering bilateral relations.
