Top Vietnamese Leader Begins State Visit to Sri Lanka

Colombo: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and State President To Lam and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Colombo on the evening of May 7 (local time). This visit marks the beginning of a two-day state visit to Sri Lanka, extended at the invitation of Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Vietnam and Sri Lanka. The agenda includes discussions on economic cooperation, trade, and cultural exchanges. The visit is expected to enhance mutual understanding and explore opportunities for collaboration across various sectors.
