Top Vietnamese Leader Visits Technology and Rail Test Facilities in Singapore

Da nang: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President To Lam, accompanied by a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, on May 30 visited the Singaporean Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR)'s Model Factory and the Singapore Rail Test Centre as part of his state visit to Singapore.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore, particularly in the fields of technology and infrastructure development. The delegation's tour of A*STAR's Model Factory provided them with insights into cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and innovation processes, which are crucial for Vietnam's own industrial advancements.

Meanwhile, the visit to the Singapore Rail Test Centre underscored the importance of developing efficient and modern transportation infrastructure, a key area of interest for Vietnam as it seeks to bolster its own rail system. The discussions held during the visit are expected to pave the way for future collaborations and exchanges of expertise between the two nations in these pivotal sectors.
