Towards ‘Vietnam 2045’: Vietnam – UK Talent Bank to be launched

Hanoi: A 'Vietnam - UK Talent Bank' - a structured network connecting students, researchers, and leading experts of Vietnam in the UK - will be launched under a newly-signed memorandum of understanding (MoU). The MoU was reached by the Vietnamese Student Association in the UK (SVUK) and the Vietnam Intellectual Society in the UK and Ireland (VIS) at a seminar named 'Vietnam 2045' in London on March 22.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the establishment of the Vietnam - UK Talent Bank aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between Vietnamese professionals in the UK and their counterparts in Vietnam. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to Vietnam's socio-economic development goals as outlined in the 'Vietnam 2045' vision, which seeks to position Vietnam as a high-income developed nation by the year 2045.

The partnership between SVUK and VIS signifies a strategic effort to harness the intellectual and professional resources of the Vietnamese diaspora in the UK. The Talent Bank will facilitate networking opportunities, mentoring, and project collaborations, thereby enhancing the skill sets and expertise of Vietnamese talents abroad.

The seminar, 'Vietnam 2045', served as a platform to discuss the future aspirations of Vietnam and the role of overseas Vietnamese communities in achieving these goals. The launch of the Talent Bank represents a concrete step towards strengthening the ties between Vietnam and its overseas communities, leveraging their potential for national development.
