TAY NINH: A ceremony was held in the southern province of Tay Ninh’s Tan Bien district to send off four search teams under Military Region 7. These teams are tasked with locating and repatriating the remains of fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts in Cambodia during wartime. This initiative is part of the 24th dry-season campaign for 2024 – 2025.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event marks the continuation of efforts to recover the remains of Vietnamese soldiers who lost their lives in Cambodia. The search teams are expected to conduct operations to identify and bring home the remains, ensuring they receive proper commemoration. This mission highlights the enduring cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia in addressing the aftermath of historical conflicts.
