UNFPA and KOICA Commit to Supporting Vietnam in Combating Gender-Based Violence

Hanoi: UNFPA Representative in Vietnam Matt Jackson and Vietnam Country Director of KOICA Lee Byung Hwa inaugurated two significant projects funded by KOICA on January 13. These initiatives aim to expand the One Stop Service Centre (OSSC) model, known as Anh Duong House, to additional locations throughout Vietnam and to assist in emergency relief and post-disaster recovery for Anh Duong House in Quang Ninh province.

According to Vietnam News Agency, these projects are part of a broader effort to address and eliminate gender-based violence in Vietnam. By replicating the OSSC model in various localities, the initiatives seek to provide comprehensive support and services for victims of gender-based violence, offering a safe space and necessary resources for recovery and empowerment.

The collaboration between UNFPA and KOICA underscores their commitment to improving the lives of individuals affected by gender-based violence in Vietnam. The projects aim to ensure that more communities have access to the crucial services provided by Anh Duong House, ultimately contributing to a safer and more supportive environment for all.
