Van Phong Economic Zone Poised to Boost Khanh Hoa’s Economic Growth

Hanoi: The Van Phong Economic Zone in the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa is positioned as a critical element in the province's development strategy for the 2026-2030 period, with aspirations extending to 2045. The zone is expected to play a pivotal role in driving economic growth and enhancing the financial landscape of the region. According to Vietnam News Agency, by 2030, Van Phong Economic Zone aims to attract at least 450 trillion VND (approximately 17.18 billion USD) in newly registered investment capital. The zone's strategy includes achieving a disbursement rate of about 75% of the total registered investments. It is anticipated that the economic zone will contribute around 30% to the province's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and generate over 30% of the total budget revenue for Khanh Hoa. In addition to its economic contributions, the Van Phong Economic Zone is projected to create stable employment opportunities for approximately 55,000 workers. This development is expected to s ignificantly impact the local job market and provide a substantial boost to the province's overall economic stability and growth trajectory.
