Hanoi: The Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations (UN), the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and other international organisations in Geneva: co-hosted a hybrid seminar on industrial policy with the Faculty of Political Science and Humanities of the Foreign Trade University (FTU) on August 17. The event was an initiative of the Vietnamese Mission in Geneva and formed part of a series of activities aimed at connecting Vietnamese educational and training institutions with leading lawyers and experts in Switzerland specialising in geopolitics, trade policy, international law and investment.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the seminar served as a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge among participants from various fields. It aimed to foster collaborative relationships and facilitate discussions on industrial policy, which plays a crucial role in economic development and international trade. The hybrid format allowed for broader participation, accommodating both in-person attendees and those joining virtually from different parts of the world.
The initiative underscores Vietnam's commitment to enhancing its educational and training frameworks by engaging with global experts. By leveraging the expertise of specialists in Switzerland, Vietnam seeks to enrich its understanding and implementation of industrial policies that align with international standards and practices. This approach not only benefits Vietnam's educational institutions but also strengthens its position in the global trade landscape.
