Hanoi: Fu Ziying, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China, affirmed Vietnam’s priority status in China’s neighborhood diplomacy at a meeting on March 18 with newly-appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance China places on its diplomatic relations with Vietnam. Vice Chairman Fu Ziying expressed China’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation with Vietnam, highlighting the significance of Vietnam in China’s regional diplomatic strategy. The discussion also focused on exploring new opportunities for collaboration between the two nations.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh, taking on his new role, emphasized Vietnam’s readiness to work closely with China in fostering mutual understanding and advancing common interests. Both sides reiterated their dedication to maintaining a stable and cooperative relationship, which is crucial for the prosperity and development of both countries.
