Hanoi: Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang hosted a welcome ceremony in Hanoi for Minister of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asgar Oglu, who is visiting Vietnam to partake in the 80th anniversary celebrations of the country’s August Revolution and National Day. The ceremony underscored the importance of the growing bilateral relations between the two nations.
According to Vietnam News Agency, following the welcoming ceremony, the two ministers engaged in talks where Minister Giang conveyed his gratitude to Colonel General Hasanov Zakir and his delegation for participating in Vietnam’s significant national events. He emphasized the value Vietnam places on its longstanding friendship with Azerbaijan-a relationship that has been cultivated by successive leaders and citizens of both countries. The discussions between the ministers highlighted the commitment to further enhancing defence ties, reflecting a shared vision for continued cooperation and mutual support.
