Hanoi: The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has reiterated its commitment to enhancing its external relations with African political parties, specifically focusing on fostering ties with Burundi's National Council for the Defence of Democracy - Forces for the Defence of Democracy (CNDD-FDD). Politburo member and Permanent member of the CPV Central Committee's Secretariat, Tran Cam Tu, emphasized this during a meeting held in Hanoi. The meeting took place on July 29, where Tran Cam Tu welcomed CNDD-FDD Secretary General R©v©rien Ndikuriyo, who was on an official visit to Vietnam from July 27-31.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Tran Cam Tu expressed his belief that the visit by Secretary General R©v©rien Ndikuriyo would serve to consolidate political trust and strengthen both the friendship and substantive cooperation between the two political parties and their respective countries. The visit marks a significant step in Vietnam's ongoing efforts to develop and expand its political relationships and cooperative initiatives with African nations, reflecting a mutual interest in fostering strategic alliances and collaborative opportunities.
