Hanoi:Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang welcomed his Cambodian counterpart, General Tea Sheiha, in Hanoi. The meeting took place on the afternoon of October 13.

According to Vietnam News Agency, General Tea Sheiha's visit to Vietnam is part of an official trip to attend the annual defence ministers' meeting involving Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. The visit also includes participation in the 2026 joint civil defence exercise among the armies of these countries.

The discussions between the two generals are part of ongoing efforts to enhance defence cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
