Ho Chi Minh City:Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has called on the Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) to establish itself as the premier center for identifying, educating, and retaining top talent in the nation. His vision includes creating a seamless pathway from outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students to young scientists and senior experts, with a focus on basic sciences and strategic technologies.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister made these remarks during the university's 2026 academic opening ceremony held on October 13. He commended the university for its 31 years of significant accomplishments achieved by its leaders, officials, scientists, lecturers, staff, and students.
