Dien bien: The 20th provincial-level talks between the border guard delegations from Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, and Lao Cai provinces of Vietnam and the Yunnan General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection of China took place in Dien Bien on September 18. The main focus of these discussions was on strengthening cooperation to combat and suppress cross-border crime.

According to Vietnam News Agency, both parties agreed on key cooperation priorities for the upcoming period. These include enhancing border management, strictly implementing the three legal documents governing the Vietnam-China land border, and intensifying efforts to combat cross-border crimes. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of enhancing information sharing and coordination in dealing with issues that arise in border areas, as well as facilitating customs clearance processes.
