Hanoi: State President Luong Cuong and his spouse, along with the visiting First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of Cuba Miguel Daz-Canel Bermºdez and his spouse, participated in a grand meeting in Hanoi on September 1. The event celebrated the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba, which began on December 2, 1960, and will continue through 2025.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the celebration was organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) in collaboration with several key ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam News Agency, the Ho Guom Opera, and the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam. The event underscored the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
