Vietnam and France Strengthen Parliamentary Ties

Paris: Vietnam's Ambassador to France Trinh Duc Hai held a working session in Paris on April 1 with Michel Criaud, President of the France - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group, alongside other members, in a bid to strengthen and deepen the two countries' Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and parliamentary ties. On the occasion, the ambassador held a brief exchange with Olivier Faure, First Secretary of the French Socialist Party, and conveyed condolences from Vietnamese Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung on the passing of former French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin. According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the legislative bodies of Vietnam and France. The discussions highlighted the importance of mutual support and collaboration in various international forums to address global challenges. Both parties expressed their commitment to facilitating exchanges and visits between parliamentary delegations to foster a deeper understandin g and cooperation on legislative matters. The ambassador underscored the significance of this partnership in promoting diplomatic relations and enhancing mutual interests. The meeting also served as an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the historical ties between the two nations, reinforcing the shared commitment to a prosperous future.
