Vietnam and Laos Enhance Healthcare Collaboration Through Interventional Radiology

Vientiane: Vietnam and Laos have taken a significant step in their healthcare collaboration with the inauguration of an interventional radiology unit, a joint effort by La Vie International Hospital, Hanoi-Vientiane Hospital, and Hanoi Medical University Hospital. This development was unveiled during the third Cardiology Scientific Conference held in Vientiane on September 17.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the newly established interventional radiology unit is equipped with a cutting-edge digital subtraction angiography (DSA) system. This advanced technology is set to bolster La Vie International Hospital's capabilities in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular and vascular diseases. The focus is on employing minimally invasive techniques, particularly in medical emergencies that demand prompt vascular intervention.

This initiative represents a significant stride forward in Vietnam-Laos healthcare cooperation, enhancing the ability of medical institutions in both countries to address complex cardiovascular issues effectively. The collaborative effort underscores the commitment of these institutions to improve healthcare outcomes through the adoption of advanced medical technologies and shared expertise.
