Manila:Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, held a welcome ceremony and subsequent talks with Vilay Lakhamphong, Politburo member and Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee, on October 15. The visit marks the beginning of a three-day official stay in Vietnam by the Lao leader.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions between the two leaders focused on strengthening and advancing the relationship between their respective parties and countries. They agreed on various strategies and measures aimed at enhancing cooperation to better serve the evolving needs of both nations in the current era.
