Khammouane: A ceremony was held in Phonesaat village of Mahaxay district, Khammouane province in central Laos, marking the groundbreaking of a significant educational project. This initiative aims to construct the Khammuon provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minority Students, which is being funded by a non-refundable grant from the Vietnamese Government to the Lao Government.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the project holds considerable importance as it reflects the commitment of both countries' Parties and States to the development of education, training, and human resources in the remote and ethnic minority areas of Laos. The new boarding school is expected to play a crucial role in providing educational opportunities to students from ethnic minority backgrounds, thereby contributing to the overall development and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
