Vietnam and Singapore Ink Implementation Agreement on Carbon Credit Collaboration

Hanoi: The Governments of Vietnam and Singapore have taken a significant step towards addressing climate change by signing an implementation agreement under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. This agreement, which focuses on carbon credit collaboration, was executed online by Vietnam’s Acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang and Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the signing of this agreement marks a pivotal collaboration between the two nations, aiming to enhance their efforts in reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable environmental practices. This initiative reflects both countries’ commitment to fulfilling their obligations under the international framework of the Paris Agreement on climate change.
